Eleanor Jean Campbell NAPLES: Eleanor Jean Campbell (Jean), 82, a Naples resident for the past 28 years passed away on June 11th, 2015 in Naples, FL following a lengthy illness. Jean was born on November 29, 1932 in Zanesville, OH to Raymond J and Bernadine F. (Paul) Colopy, now deceased. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert E. Campbell (Bob) of Naples; son, Stephen (Julie) Campbell of Naples; and two grandchildren, Randy (LaTosha) Novak and Ryan Novak; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Following her marriage to Bob in 1955 she volunteered as a Cub-Scout leader and for the American Red Cross as a swimming instructor. While supporting Bob's career and raising her family, Jean developed a love of gardening that would last the remainder of her life. Following their retirement in 1987, Jean and Bob spent several adventurous years traveling North America in an Airstream travel trailer, before settling permanently in Naples. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jeffrey Alan Campbell; her sister Dorothy White, and her brother Donald Colopy. A Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL. The mass will be followed by a 5:00 PM reception at Hodges Funeral Home, located at 525 111th Ave N., Naples, FL. Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AVOW Hospice, in Naples, FL.
