Edwin "Buzzy" DeaneAge: 90 • StanardsvilleEdwin "BUZZY" Deane, 90 of Stanardsville, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 30, 1926 in Greene County to the late E. Whitelow Deane and Myrtle Haney Deane. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer K. Deane, a son, Larry Deane, a sister, Pansy Breeden and two brothers, Elmer Deane and Clay Deane.He was an Army WW II Veteran and the pastor of Sandy Bottom Pentecostal Church for over 5o years.He is survived by his wife, Mabel Lam Deane; three sons, Jerry Deane and wife Connie of Craigsville, Va., Phillip Deane and wife, Deidra of Cantonment, Fl., and Eddie Deane and wife Tina of Stanardsville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Deane Nagy, Brian Deane, Shavona Deane, Jordan Deane and Colton Deane; step granddaughter, Carmen Green; four great-grandchildren, Kyle and Seth Peters, Zoie and Emery Deane and two step grandchildren, Braylon and Brody Green.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at First Bible Baptist Church in Stanardsville officiated by his family Eddie, Philip and Jordon Deane.
