Edward John Wagner, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 10th, 2016, after a brief illness. He was born on July 1, 1940, the only child of Margaret Helen Maydan Wagner and Henry Wagner of White Plains, NY. After graduating from Lehigh University, he entered the U.S. Navy, serving our country during the Vietnam War as a young Lieutenant aboard a destroyer in the South China Sea.This September 30th, Ed celebrated 50 illustrious years in the financial services industry. He started with Harris Upham on Wall Street, followed by several decades with Smith Barney before being recruited to Charlotte with Interstate Johnson Lane in 1991. For the past 7 years, Ed was with RBC Wealth Management in Charlotte where he was fondly known as "Coach."Rallying by his side over the last month until he left us, Ed is survived by his loving children: Erik (Karen) Wagner of Charlotte; Karin (Scott) Stratton of Monterey, CA; Douglas (Kimber) Wagner of San Diego, CA; and his longtime companion, Linda Dudley and her daughter, Cher Dudley Holcomb.
