Edward Allen Diaz 55, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 2, 1957 in Plymouth, MA. Edward served in the U.S Marines. He worked and retired with the City of Yuma. Edward was a soccer coach; he was a member of HOG and American Legion. As an avid bike rider, he enjoyed having his fist in the wind and restoring old vehicles. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Erlinda Fernandez Diaz; daughter Amy, sons, Nick, Eddie, Felix, Ronnie; 5 brothers, 6 sisters; 12 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild and numerous aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Days. Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Johnson Mortuary between 5:00pm and 9:00pm, with rosary at 7:00pm. Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Johnson Mortuary at 9:00am. with Christine Pereira officiating. Pallbearers will be Tito Herrera, Nick Diaz, Alec Delgado, Steve Pereira, John Diaz, and Felix Xavier Delgado. Honorary pallbearers are Christian Delgado, Sawyer Diaz, Brian Merchant, Dimitri Merchant, and City of Yuma employees. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Yuma and/or Humane Society of Yuma.
