On Friday June 28,2019 we lost someone special to our hearts, God saw fit to call his child Edna Mae May Home for eternal rest. Edna was born on May 4 1930 in Mecklenburg County North Carolina to Edward and Marie Henderson, She is the last child born of 5 sisters(Jessie,Helen,Kathleen,and Eloise). Edna Henderson married Leverteen May on March 27,1947 and together they raised 5 beautiful children(Gloria,Elizabeth,Leverteen jr,Sylvia and David). Edna can be described as one who loved all,during her life she worked at Rockland State Hospital with children she also worked as a lunch aid in the New York City Public School System. She loved children and you often would find all the neighborhood kids gathering at her house. Edna was 89 years old when she received her wings,she fought a long battle for years up to the very end. She was Proceeding in death by her mother and father Marie and Ed Henderson her husband Levirteen May Sr her 2 grandsons James Henderson and Dashon perry, her daughter Elizabeth Holsinger and her sisters Jessie,Helen,Kathleen and Eloise. Edna will be lovingly missed by her daughters Gloria and Sylvia,her sons Leverteen Jr and david granddaughters,Delores,Detra,Nefertari,andPatricia.Grandsons, Donald,David Jr,Davon,and LevirteenIII. A host of greatgrandchildren  and nieces,nephews,great nieces and nephews,cousins and friends.The family would like to thank everyone who have given their condolences and prayers,may the lord be with you..
