Edna Mae HildrethMay 10, 1924 - November 21, 2013Edna Mae Hildreth, 89, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully following an illness at a local care facility on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. She was born on May 10, 1924 in Pocatello, Idaho to Donald and Edna (Hicks) Mathers. She attended school in Pocatello until her senior year. She moved to Florence, Montana where she graduated from high school in 1942. Edna married Howard B. Hildreth on June 14, 1944 in Pocatello. She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked hard at raising her children and working on the family farm. Edna enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping and square dancing. She especially loved being with her family.Edna was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald Mathers. She is survived by her husband, Howard; five children, Linda L. (Dale) Benesh of Pitman, New Jersey, Patti D. (Dean) Strawn-Allred of Castleford, Idaho, Spencer H. (Theda) Hildreth of Pocatello, Idaho, Keith N. (Karen) Hildreth of Pocatello, Idaho, and Arla R. (Travis) Wilhelm of Pocatello, Idaho; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family of Edna will be honoring her wishes to have private services.
