Edna L. AdkinsPittsville-Edna L. Adkins, 79, of Pittsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.She was born on April 26, 1937 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Virgil and Lana Cooper Davis.Mrs. Adkins spent 30 years as a seamstress for the Powellville Pant Factory. She also worked as a CNA at Berlin Nursing Home. She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church. She loved her family more than anything in this world. She is survived by her daughters; Deborah Powell (John), Christine Morris (Rick), Sharon White (Jerry) all of Pittsville and Cordelia Adkins (Billie Jo White) of Salisbury; and a son, James Dewey Adkins of Ohio; grandchildren, Sheri Whitelock (Mark), John Ryder Powell, Megan Powell, Brittanie Parker, Jessica Adkins, Jamie Adkins and Jena Adkins; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Hailey; as well as several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Foxy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Adkins, and several brothers and sisters.A graveside memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Pittsville Cemetery.In memory of Mrs. Adkins, contributions may be sent to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
