Edith Irene (Beck) Miller passed away on Monday September 21, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born February 17, 1928 in Salinas.

She graduated from Salinas High School in 1945, earned an AA degree from Salinas Junior College (Hartnell College) in 1947, and earned a BAED degree from California College of Arts and Crafts in 1951. For a short time before getting married she taught math and arts & crafts at Atascadero Union High School. Married in August of 1952, Edith & Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2002.

Edith was a lifetime member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church and loved her church family very much. She was an excellent artist, loved painting with watercolors and was a member of Valley Art Gallery and the Salinas Valley Art Association for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. (Bill) Miller in 2003. 

Edith is survived by her brothers, Verner R. Beck of Portland, OR. and Carl E. (Elsie) Beck of Redding, CA; children, Michael N. Miller (Susan Hall) of San Jose, CA; Lisa A. (Wayne) Shaddock of Salinas; and Ross W. (Tamara) Miller of Grants Pass, Oregon; and 8 beautiful grandchildren.
