Edith HinesMarch 15, 1921 - May 3, 2013Grace: Edith Melva Hines, 92, of Grace passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.Edith was born on March 15, 1921 in Rupert, Idaho the daughter of Charles and Edith Dawley Call.She attended school in Soda Springs Elementary and Bailey Creek Country School. She lived most of her life in Soda Springs area until four years ago she moved to Grace.She married Albert M. Turner on July 1, 1939 in Soda Springs, Idaho. He passed away on August 2nd 1979.She married Harley Childs on September 21, 1981 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They were later divorced.She married Dorsey "Bill" Childs in July 1978 in Nevada. They were later divorced. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was also very active in the Presbyterian church functions.Edith was also a member of the U.S. A.F. Ground Observer Corps, Rebekah's, Royal Neighbor and Good Sam's. She also enjoyed pinochele, hunting, crocheting, fishing, quilting, sewing, huckleberry picking, gardening and making and entering items for the Grace and State Fairs.She is survived by one son Albert Lee Turner of Chubbuck, ID, and two daughters, Lois and Ted Attebruy of Kimberly, ID, Wendy Arlene and Reid Lester of Grace, ID. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother Stewart Call of Grace, ID, and a sister-in-law Francis Call of Caldwell, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, four brothers, her husband Albert Marion Turner, and a great-grandson Curtis Kofoed and a daughter-in-law Florence June Turner.Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and also on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.simsfh.com.
