Edie Byers was born on April 13,1971 at Bridgeton Hospital to Carl Green Jr and Joan Byers of Bridgton NJ.

Edie was called home to eternal rest on June 26, 2019 while at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. 

 

Edie graduated from Cumberland Regional High School and continued her education at Cumberland County Community College. Edie was employed at Bridgeton Sear's clothing department store through the mid 1980’s. she later moved to Vineland New Jersey following an injury that left her disabled. 

Edie was an avid reader. she enjoyed books, collecting various items including stamps. Edie had an infectious personality and an amazing sense of humor. Many would agree she was the life of the party and breathed life into any room she entered. Edie was famous for her catchphrases and quotes that kept everyone amused. Some of them included sayings such as “Man down”, “Incoming”, “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme “, “Double Dutch”, Shotgun don’t miss” and many more. 

Edie is predeceased by her father; Carl Green Jr and her mother Joan Byers. Left to cherish her memory are her four dear kids, Dana Byers and Alfred Byers of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronny Byers of Trenton, New Jersey and Kyra Byers Jones of Bridgeton and Grandkids Jacoya Simpson Kyheem Simpson Kayvon Simpsonand Takyra Simpson of New Jersey. Two brothers, Raymond Byers and Jeffery Byers of Jacksonville, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
