Eddie A. Blea Jr. was born on Nov. 6, 1952 at Mercy Hospital, San Diego, Calif. and joined the Lord on Aug. 30, 2016.He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie A. Blea Sr. and mother, Sofia Maes Blea.He was married to Linda Blea in September 1980.He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Michelle Blea, Marie Blea, Eddie A. Blea III, Jessica Blea, Martin Blea, Gabriel Blea and Sofia Blea, 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Eddie graduated from San Diego High School in 1974.He was a master mechanic and member of El Valle de Cristo Church of Ribera, N.M. His hobbies were restoring old Volkswagen cars, reading his Bible, working his land, landscaping, spending time with his family, spreading the Word of God, golfing, fishing, softball, baseball, football and traveling. He was an honest, hard-working, caring, loving and entertaining man. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, godfather and uncle, and a friend to many.A memorial service will be held at noon on Sunday at The Church on the Hill in Ribera (formerly El Valle de Cristo Church) with a reception to follow at the church.
