Douglas A. DeckerHighland - Douglas A. Decker 37, a resident of Highland passed away unexpectedly at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on February 19, 2017. Doug was the owner of DW Landscaping in Highland. He took so much pride in his work. He was a gifted landscaper and would do anything for anyone. He would always find a way to go that extra mile and go out on a limb for anyone. He was also an avid fisherman, loved camping and loved spending all the holidays with his family.Doug was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland. He was born on December 15, 1979. He was the son of Douglas A. Decker and Alice Frederick.On September 9, 2000 he married Denise Fuhrmann Decker at the First Presbyterian Church in Highland. Denise survives at home in Highland. Additional survivors include his daughters, Desiree, Deanna and Destiney Decker of Highland, his mother and step father Alice and Michael Morgan of Highland, father and step mother, Douglas and Laura Decker of Cadyville, NY, brother, William Decker of Highland, sisters, Michele Morgan of Highland, Cynthia Patinka and her husband Bobby of Plattsburgh, his father-in-law George Fuhrmann of Highland,NY, his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Joe Di Mattina of Highland, his niece, Ava Di Mattina of Highland, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of good friends.He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Marge Fuhrmann.Doug was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
