Dortha S. MillerAsheville - Dorotha S. Miller, 82 of Asheville, died on Sunday, July 9, 2017. A native of Lafolette, TN she was born on May 4, 1935 to the late Troy Shepherd and Myrtly Huddleston Caves. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Genese Matheson; her brothers, James and Lui Shepherd and her husband, William Miller.She is survived by her sister, Margie (Ralph) Cooper; her grandson, Liam Matheson; her sister-in-law's, Luna Shepherd and Edith Shepherd; her caregiver and special friend: Rayfield Lunsford as well as many nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Berea Baptist Church, 2578 Riceville Road with Reverend Nathan Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1498 Sand Hill Road.
