Dorothy A. Raymond 1917 - 2014 Dorothy A. Raymond, 96, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Brookside Care Center. She was born on Dec. 1, 1917, to the late Jacob and Bessie (Gardner) Herrmann in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On Dec. 30, 1937, she married Vernon J. Raymond at St. George Catholic Church. He preceded her in death after 72 years of marriage on May 26, 2010. Dorothy worked for her father at Herrmann Drug and then for several years at Western Publishing, retiring in 1982. Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, doing ceramics, crossword puzzles and playing Bingo. Dorothy's greatest joy in life was getting together with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will sadly be missed by her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her son, Gene Raymond of Kenosha; her daughters, Judy Johnson of Kenosha, Patricia Knutson of Racine, and Mary (Ray) Arndt of Antigo; her 11 grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Marjorie Burnett and Marion Jorgenson, and a son-in-law, Ronald Johnson, precede her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 – 7th Ave.). Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
