Dorothy Bentley OrtonCottonwood HeightsDorothy Bentley Orton, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on June 18, 1936, the daughter of Clyde and Mary Belle Bentley in Cedar City, UT. Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed being with her family who she loved dearly. She loved tole painting and making special gifts for her family and loved ones. She also was an avid reader. Dorothy was a member of the LDS church where she made many lifetime friends. On June 5, 1954 Dorothy married the love of her life, AlRay Orton; they were married for 50 years, later solemnized in the LDS Temple. Dorothy is survived by her four children: Kevin(Virginia) Orton, Brent(Karen) Orton, Michelle(Richard) Davis, LoriAnn deWolfe; 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Patty) Bentley and John (Karen) Bentley; one sister, Georgia (Jay) Prisbey; one sister-in- law, Kathy Orton; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband, AlRay; her mother and father; and her 3 sisters, Belva, Rose and Linda.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State St., Murray, UT at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also Wednesday prior to the services at 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Elysian Burial Gardens.
