McTrusty, DorothyDorothy M. McTrusty, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, November 7, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital.She was born on August 16, 1927, in Eden, a daughter of Clarence and Adela Iding Bechler. She was baptized, attended rural schools, and was confirmed on April 6, 1941, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Forest. She was a 1945 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy.Before her marriage, she worked at the Fond du Lac Clinic and attended Oshkosh State Teacher's College.On January 29, 1949, she married Ambrose A. McTrusty, at her parent's home in Van Dyne by Pastor Gerhard Pieper. She became a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in 1954.Dorothy spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her family. She served her church in many ways, and had a special interest in missions. She was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Aid, Winnebago Lutheran Academy Auxiliary, and Lutheran Women's Missionary Society.She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ambrose McTrusty; four children: Catherine (David) Mensch of Charlesburg, Timothy McTrusty of Panama City Beach, Florida, Margaret (David) Perkins of Eldorado, and William (Meri) McTrusty of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren: Kristine Maurer, Kerry Kollmann, Amy Schatschneider, Andrew Perkins, Sarah Brown, Chesley McTrusty, Jessie Skaer, and Megan McTrusty; two step-grandchildren: Jason Mensch and Adam Mensch; 14 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Ruthe (Gerald) Pautz of West Palm Beach, Florida, Darlene Tasch of Fond du Lac, and Donald (Beverly) Bechler of Van Dyne.She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Carol McTrusty; three brothers-in-law: Duane Tasch, Henry McTrusty, and Arno McTrusty; and two sisters-in-law: Ethelyn Eickner and Murial McTrusty.VISITATION: The visitation will be from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac.SERVICE: The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas Behnke and Rev.
