Dorothy Inez Moorer, 90, and a resident of Birmingham, AL, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 11, 1929, in Selma, Dallas, Alabama to the late Frank and Leanna Moorer.

Inez gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age. She attended Ephesus Academy and joined Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Birmingham, AL where she was a dedicated member of both the church and Alexis Club for over 75 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Earl Scott, her daughter Rosylyn"Dee-Dee" Bellamy, her sisters Lee Essie, Louise, Margaret, and Lillie Pearl, and her brothers, Prince, George, Andrew, and David.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Sandra "Lois" Brown of Atlanta, GA, Gloria Rutledge of Birmingham, AL, Felecia Johnson (Patrick) of Birmingham, AL, Shelia Mabry (Frankie) of Maryland; one son, Earl Scott (Adrienne); one brother, Frank Moorer of Montgomery, AL; 17 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Inez will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Elmwood Cemetary, on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 12:00pm CST. The service will be live streamed. Please visit www.lusain.com to stream.
