Lasara - Dora C. Chapa, 89, entered into eternal glory on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Lasara, TX. She was born on June 18, 1927 in Raymondville, TX to Jose M. & Genoveva (Cantu) Chavez.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gregorio Chapa, Jr.; daughter, Maria Ignacia Munguia; sister, Genoveva Guerra; and grandson, Thomas Chapa. She is survived by her sons, Raul R. "Bobby" Chapa and Jesus Maria Chapa; brother, Jose M. Chavez III; sisters, Guadalupe Ochoa & Gertrude Chavez; grandchildren, Robert A. Chapa, Joshua Chapa, Jason Chapa, Marissa Nieto, Jessica Chapa, Jeanette Chapa, Jasmine Chapa, and Romeo Munguia; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 8:00AM till 9:00PM with a rosary at 7:00PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Raymondville, TX. A funeral mass to celebrate Dora's life will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lasara, TX. A funeral procession will lead to her final resting place next to her husband in the Lasara Cemetery.Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Robert A. Chapa, Joshua Chapa, Jason Chapa, Romeo Munguia, Noe Chavez, and Luis Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas G.
