Lola Doone Larsen Pierson, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, in Logan, Utah. Doone was born on Nov. 1, 1933, in Shelley, Idaho, to Vernon and Iva Larsen. She was the fourth of five children. She spent most of her childhood in Midvale, Utah. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Pierson, in the Salt Lake Temple on Feb. 17, 1956. They are the parents of five children. Dad and Mom moved to Cache Valley in 1966. Mom was a wonderful homemaker. She loved yard work, camping, the outdoors, and her Sunday drives. She loved life, lived it to its fullest, and had a cheery disposition. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she loved serving in many church callings. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry, their children, Paul (Cheri), Janilyn, Dawn (Jeff) Lee, Julie (Dolyn) Knapp, Gared (Tina), 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister LaRue Edwards and brother RG Larsen.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and great-grandson.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Smithfield 13th Ward building, 600 East 120 South, Smithfield Utah.Viewings will be at the Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main, Smithfield, Utah, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at the Smithfield City Cemetery.
