Kleinschmidt, Donna M.Donna M. Kleinschmidt, age 83, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017, surrounded by her family in love and prayers.She was born on August 27, 1934, in LaCrosse, WI, to the late Eugene & Louise (Marquardt) Ross.Donna graduated from Columbia Nursing School in Milwaukee. After graduation, she worked at Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison.She married Robert Kleinschmidt on June 14, 1958, in Madison. Together they lived in various places across the United States due to Robert's job as a Special Agent in the FBI.Donna was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, and more recently, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere. She was also a member of the St. Joseph's Community of the Secular Order of Carmel (OCDS of Green Bay). Donna was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother to her nine children. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert; nine children, Monica (Jon) Schmidt, Sr. Jacinta Maria, OCD, Fr. Tom Kleinschmidt, OMV, Jacqueline (Carmelo) Sigona, Mary (Vlad) Ticha, Fr. John Kleinschmidt, Robert J. (Rebecca) Kleinschmidt, Margaret Kleinschmidt and Therese (Joe) Pisanelle; 19 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother-in-law, Rich Fonstad; two nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janet Fonstad.Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish, 200 Michigan Ave, De Pere. The rosary will be recited at the church at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 30, at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Fr. Tom Kleinschmidt celebrant and Fr. John Kleinschmidt and Fr. Richard Getchel concelebrants. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the thousands who prayed for Donna during the last days of her life. They would also like to extend a thank you to the staffs of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice.
