HAYSVILLE-Bicknell, Donna Lee Age 79, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Wichita Presbyterian Manor. Donna was born on March 28, 1936, in Grand Junction, Colorado, daughter of Donald and Hazel Bicknell. She moved with her family to Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1954. She worked for Pan American Airways for two years in Houston, Texas. She then moved back to Kansas, attended and graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with an undergraduate degree in art and education. Donna attended Wichita State University and received a masters degree in art education. Donna established the art department in the Haysville Junior High School and stayed 9 years before moving to Campus High School where she remained until her retirement. After she retired from teaching, Donna worked with Valerie Masters, owner of Cobblestone Gallery. Over the years she has been an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, promoting professional and personal growth of women in education. Donna is survived be her sister, Beverley Rhodes of Prairie Village, KS; brother, Paul (Elizabeth) Bicknell of Topeka, KS; nieces, Kim, Sherri, and Pami; and nephews, Bart and Phillip. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald W. Bicknell and Hazel J. Freeman, and brother-in-law, Carl Rhodes. Donna was a generous, loyal and faithful soul who loved God, her family and friends. She has been a longtime member of the Wichita Bible Church and served each Sunday as a greeter to all her church friends who meant so much to her. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 27, at the Wichita Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in remembrance of Donna to Wichita Bible Church, 633 S.
