Donavan R. Allen was born August 2, 1941. He grew up in New Orleans, Lousinana which he lived until his passing. Donavan attended Benjamin Franklin High School where he went on to graduate and enlist into the U.S. Miliatry where he served 6 years as a Staff Sergent. Some years later, Donavan met and fell in love with his wife Rochelle Allen in the Summer of 1966 and the couple became the proud parents of 6 children: Nia B. Allen, [twins] Joseph R. Allen and Markus R. Allen, Dionne A. Allen, Riane K. Allen, and Kenny J. Allen. Donavan will be remembered for many wonderful things but what he cherished most was being a loving son, father, and grandfather. He will forever live on through his children, and his grandchildren: Robert Allen, Kayla Allen, Teah Devezin, DeVon Devezin, Kenny lll Allen, Connie Allen, Marshawn King, Tori King, Mariah King, Thea Allen, Joshua Allen, Terry Allen and Edward Allen.
