Donald H. PearlGrant TownshipMr. Donald H. Pearl, age 82, of Grant Township, passed away on Saturday evening in his home. He was born on June 10, 1934, in East Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Penzien) Pearl.On June 29, 1956, Don was united in marriage with Barbara Ann Baumgarten in Mount Clemens. Mrs. Pearl passed away on September 18, 2011, in Port Huron. Don retired from Chrysler after 37 years. He enjoyed engineering and building race cars and racing at the local tracks in the 1950's and early 1960's. He loved fishing at Drummond Island.Don is survived by Aunt Betty; three children, Steven (Theresa) Pearl of New Baltimore, Douglas (Annick) Pearl of Emmett and Cathy Niece of New Baltimore; and five grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie), Kyle, Nathan, Sarah and Davey.Visiting hours will be on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 3-9:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with the Reverend Mark Reynolds officiating.
