Donald Marvin HaasMARION: Donald Marvin Haas age 82 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday November 27,2016 at 10:43 a.m. at the Marion General Hospital ER.He was born on August 12, 1934 in Kenton, Ohio the son of the late Earl and Olive (Skidmore) Haas. His father passed away when he was 10 months old and he was raised by his step father Lloyd Miller. On December 6, 1962 he married Treva Stewart and she passed away on May 15, 2009.He is survived by his sons Darin Haas of Marion, OH and David (Jill) Haas of Columbus, OH; and his grandsons Gavin and Sawyer Haas. He was preceded in death by his brothers Garris Haas and Gordon Miller.Donald Marvin Haas was a graduate of the Kenton High School class of 1954 and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked on the Erie Lackawanna railroad for 20 years then for Conrail railroad retiring in 1989.A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Donald Marvin Haas will be held Friday December 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schindewolf Stout Crates Funeral Home, Kenton with Pastor Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow the service in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. The family will receive friends to share memories from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Peace Community United Church of Christ, Marion.
