Dolores Yniguez Cabral, born on March 28, 1928 in Jalisco, Mexico passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2015 surrounded by her sons, daughters, and five generations of loved ones. She was a long time resident of Oxnard, resided in her home for the past 60 years that her husband, Refugio “Cuco” H. Cabral built and was the last of the “Bonitas.”
“Mama Lola” as known to her family and “Lola” to her friends, was a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she spent many years as a church volunteer making tamales for special events and fundraisers. She was a devout woman of her faith and demonstrated the love of the Lord through her interactions with all she encountered. She spent many years as a packer at Heublien and as a sorter at JM Smuckers.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, barbequing, cooking and traveling. Her most memorable trips included Puerto Rico, South America, Hawaii and Cancun.
She is now reunited with her husband Refugio “Cuco” H. Cabral who preceded her in death 39 years ago. She leaves behind her loving family, children Gloria (Raul) Ramirez, Vera (Ruben) Tamayo, Robert (Adela) Cabral, Ruben (Juanita) Cabral, and Dolores (Sony) De La O; 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
