Diane M. (Paschke) Roti of East Tawas passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 4, 2014, age 62 years. Diane was born on Aug. 7, 1951 in Harper Woods to Milton E. and Bernice D. (Tanghe) Paschke. Diane graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School. She furthered her education in college earning a banking degree. Diane began her banking career in March of 1976 and was employed by Huron Community Bank. Through the years, she worked in several different important positions for the bank, most notably as vice president. Diane retired from banking in June 2009 and continued to live her life to the fullest. She had a passion for reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Diane will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving son, John Veldhuis of Traverse City; special friend, Don Seymour of East Tawas; one sister, Lois Biggs of Attica; three nephews, Jeffrey C. Biggs, Kenneth E. Biggs and Michael D. Biggs; and many dear friends. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Milton E. Paschke; her mother, Bernice D. (Oliveto) Paschke; and her husband, James Roti. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be buried privately in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tawas City. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider either the Friends of the Library or a in her honor.
