TOPEKA — Diana Rose Christner, age 64, of Topeka passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 2:05 p.m. at home surrounded by her family after a 12-year battle with Non-Hodgkins Waldenstrom's Lymphoma. She was born on May 1, 1950, to George and Pauline "Polly" (Huss) Moser in Ligonier, Indiana. On April 17, 1971, she married Kenneth Christner in Ligonier, Indiana. He survives. Mrs. Christner was a lifetime area resident and graduated from West Noble High School in 1968. She enjoyed making comforters and loved spending time and taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. Diana was employed by Anderson's Drive-In, Banner Drug Store, and Royal Imprints and Tower Ribbon for over 22 years. She is also survived by two children, Jennifer (Mike) Brown of Topeka, and Scott (Tonya) Christner of Howe; seven grandchildren, Corey, Jeran, Jaxon, Emily, Cole, Seth (Danielle) and Brehtt; and 13 siblings, Marlene, George, Carolyn, Howard, Phyllis, Thelma, Gregg, Richard, Gwen, Dorothy, Denice, Kent, and Brent. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl; a niece, Jocelyn; and a nephew, Bryce. There will be a funeral service held in Mrs. Christner's honor on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Maple Grove Church, 806 S. Main St., Topeka, Indiana, with Pastor Barry St. Clair and Pastor Harold Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka. There will be a time of visitation from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014, and Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 4-8 p.m., and an hour prior to the service at the church.
