Dewey Pavelock, 76, of Turner passed away on Aug. 12, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw.Mr. Pavelock was born on Sept. 18, 1936, the son of John I and Gladys Pavelock. He married Carole Toms on June 11, 1955 and together the couple raised four children, Debbie, John II, Gary and Mary.Mr. Pavelock proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the Howard W. Gilmore from 1954-57. He was employed by General Motors Chevrolet V8 until his retirement.He will be deeply missed by his wife, Carole; children, Debbie (Dave) McCauley, John II (Connie) Pavelock, Gary (Becky) Pavelock and Mary (Kelly) Dameron; grandchildren, Candy (Greg), Joy (Eddie), Jenni (James), Michael (Christina), Johnny (Samantha), Niki (Matt), Ashley, Jake and Taylor; great grandchildren, Katherine, Chase and Colton; sisters, Maggie Small and Pat (Tom) Hunt; and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Pavelock was preceded in death by his parents, John I and Gladys.Cremation will take place with a memorial service scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16 at St. James Catholic Church, Whittemore, with Father Lawrence Boks officiating.
