Verstegen, DennisDennis Allan "Rueben" Verstegen, Little Chute, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2017 at home. He was born on June 30, 1954, son of the late Stanley and Lillian (Johnson) Verstegen.Dennis was a loyal employee of 36 years at the paper mill in Kimberly through all the changes in ownership until it closed in September 2008 under the direction of New Page. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked to spend time outdoors. He enjoyed sharing his stories with friends and family. Dennis loved his family and was very proud of his eight grandchildren. Dennis will forever be remembered by his three daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Cornelius and their two children Levi and Payton, Stephanie (David) Weber and their three children Jackson, Ava, and Bailey. Melanie (Todd) Wyland and their three children Evan, Emma, and Madelyn. He is survived by his siblings: Gayle (John) Reider and their three children Jeanna (Mark) Rodriguez, Leah (Andy) Lancour, Kristina Reider; Cathy (Mark) Mantei and their two children Sean (Erika) Mantei and Jessica Mantei; Sharon Verstegen (Dale Siebers), and Amy (Steve) Sprister and their three children Mikayla, Jake and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Lillian (Johnson) Verstegen, and his brother John Verstegen.The family would like to express a special thank you to Heartland Home and Healthcare, especially his nurse Christy. A special thank you to the Kaukauna Fire Department, the Fox Valley Metro Police Department and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton WI.A funeral service for Dennis will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.
