Deakles, Dennis RayDennis Ray Deakles, age 52, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away after a long illness on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.A memorial visitation for Dennis will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Dennis was born on January 23, 1965 in Hattiesburg, MS to Bobby Deakles and Barbra Shelton. He married Susan E. Gehrt on November 29, 1991. Dennis was a double-journeyman pipefitter/welder and was proud to work for Local 434 out of Mosinee. He retired in November of 2009 due to a disability. Dennis loved to golf and watch the Green Bay Packers. Dennis is survived by his mother Barbra, wife Susan, Son Justin (Tina) Garnick, grandchildren Nathaniel, Tristan, Abbey, Jacen, Jaina; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Chrissy (Jerry) Headeley and Diana (Jon) Gunn and brother Doug; 13 nephews, 9 nieces, 3 great-nephews ad 6 great-nieces. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in law Harry Gehrt, Marie Kangas, Sally Tuttle, Harold (Angela) Gehrt, Linda (Dwayne) Tate and Mark (Nick) Gehrt. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Dennis is preceded in death by his grandparents, father Bobby, brother Duane Deakles and son Ryan Garnick. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family with arrangements.
