Dennis was born on June 26, 1941 in Seattle WA to George and Helen Van Hollebeke. He died peacefully at home on November 17, 2013. Growing up, Dennis spent every summer at the family vacation property, lovingly known as "the beach" on Bainbridge Island. He graduated from Queen Anne High School and later joined the U.S. Marines. After being discharged, Dennis worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for The Boeing Company for nearly forty years. Dennis loved the outdoors, especially fishing and caring for the acreage on his family home in Arlington, WA. Dennis is survived by the joys of his life, his children, Erika (Maurice) Chadwick and DJ Van Hollebeke; and his grandchildren, Attikus, Abby, Arielle and Abraham. He is also survived by his brothers, George, Bill, Gary and Rick; and by his sister Diane. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 7, 2013 at Holy Rood Cemetery, 205 NE 205th Shoreline, WA. Reception to follow at The Nile Shrine Center.
