MANDERSDennis J. Dennis J. Manders, 63, of Toledo, passed away at home on Thursday, December 15, 2016. He was born on March 24, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Barbara (Betag) Manders Sr. Dennis began working in the trucking industry at age 16, while a student at Summerfield High School. His places of employment included American Freight Systems, Carolina Transport, Terminal Transport, Spartan Express, and most recently, Fed-Ex Freight where he was an office associate for 6 years. Dennis was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the church's Properties Committee. He loved following men's and women's athletics and was a huge fan of the University of Toledo, the Toledo Mud Hens, the Toledo Walleyes, and the University of Michigan. Dennis bowled faithfully with the Friday afternoon Senior League at Miracle Mile. He was a member of the Downtown Coaches Club and the Igniters Organization promoting women's Basketball at UT. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cynthia (Drzewiecki) Manders (married October 13, 1984); sisters, Vickie (Mike) Fiedler and Kimberly (Doug Farquharson) Langschied; brother, Donald (Cynthia) Manders Jr.; and Golden Retriever, Annie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Doug Wallace. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Beth Frank presiding. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.Memorial donations may be given to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, or the Rocket Fund at the University of Toledo.
