Schweiner, Deneen M.Deneen M. Schweiner, 45, Denmark, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Oct. 7, 2014. I was born on May 20, 1969, to Daniel and Marilyn (Dorner) DeGrand. I married Kevin A. Schweiner, the love of my life on Aug. 5, 1995, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Sugarbush, formerly Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Kevin was my rock.I graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1987 and then attended Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis., where I graduated in 1991. as an English teacher. After graduation, I taught as a substitute teacher at Denmark until I had my daughter, Morgan (17) and son, Brennan (16) at which time I became a stay at home mom. In 2008, I started working at the Brown County Library, Denmark Branch. My love for reading, books and children made this the perfect job for me. I loved to cook, bake, work in my perennial gardens, read and spend time with my best friends, Carol Blohowiak, Susan Rabas and Charlie Frank. I passed on many of my favorite recipes to the DeGrand Family Restaurant (owned by my brother, Todd, and sister-in-law, Kelley).I am survived by my husband, Kevin; children, Morgan and Brennan (special friend, Kristyn), both at home; my parents, Daniel and Marilyn DeGrand, Luxemburg; sister, Jody (Darrell) Duckart, Denmark; brother, Todd (Kelley) DeGrand, Denmark; nephews and nieces, Travis Minger (godchild), Ashley Minger (godchild), Owen and Ellah DeGrand (godchild); father-in-law and mother in-law, Art and Sandy (Siegmund) Schweiner, Denmark; sister-in-law, Karen (Dennis) Schultz, Denmark; brother-in-law, Korey (Faith) Schweiner, Denmark; brother-in-law, Kelly (Beth) Schweiner, Oshkosh; nephews and nieces, Courtney (special friend, Tyler), Justin (special friend, Nellie), Derek and Connor Schultz, Kayla, Bethany and Brett Schweiner, Ashley Morales (special friend, Zac); step-grandfather, Matt Kralovetz, Denmark; and numerous relatives and cousins.I am predeceased in death by my older brother, Daniel DeGrand, Jr.; my grandparents, Harold and Irma (Rentmeester) DeGrand, Norbert and Marian (Kust) Dorner, Jacob Schweiner and Rose (Forest) Schweiner Kralovetz, and Walter and Alma (Hanmann) Siegmund.I would like to express my gratitude to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, Aurora Hospital and Unity Hospice for the wonderful care given to me through my struggle with cancer, especially Dr. Nancy Davis, Dr. David Rohde, my social worker, Carrie Condon, and the many very compassionate nurses.Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5930 Humboldt Road, Luxemburg. Visitation continued on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 10:30 a.m. with Father William O'Brien officiating.
