Delvera "Jean" CrookPEORIA - Delvera "Jeane" Crook, 76, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 5:50 p.m.She was born on March 17, 1940, in Springfield, IL, to James and Margaret Willis. They preceded her in death. She married Richard Crook, and he preceded her in death.Delvera loved to go on cruises. She collected dolls as a hobby.Delvera's passion was education, which led her to a successful career as a school teacher for over 35 years. She is survived by five brothers, James Willis of New York, NY, Pastor Milton (Sylvia) Willis of Gary, IN, Richard (Hedy) Willis and Melvin Willis and Chester Willis, both of Peoria; four sisters, Patricia (Edward) Jackson of Peoria, Margaret (James) Bailey San Diego, CA, Sherry (Dewayne) Mayes of Killeen TX, and Pamela Willis of Escondito CA; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Gregory Crook; and one brother; Nelson Willis.Delvera will be laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery. Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11 a.m., with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10 a.m. at Grace Apolostic. Bishop James Ware will officiate.
