Gindt, Delmar J. "Del"Delmar J. "Del" Gindt, age 74 of New Lisbon died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Meriter Hospital in Madison with his family by his side. Del was born on March 28, 1942 to Felix A. and Lorinda M. (Steger) Gindt, in Theresa, WI. Del graduated from Mayville High School in 1960 and he then earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business at Spencerian College in Milwaukee in 1965. Del was united in marriage to Linda Lou Dorothy Gesicki on June 5, 1965 in Babcock, WI. And they were blessed with 2 children, Paul and Tony.After his marriage, Del was an account in at various businesses in the Milwaukee area. He later started a commercial specialties supply business in Milwaukee, and later moved the business to the New Lisbon area with his sons working with him. Del was an avid sports fan, he enthusiastically followed his hometown high school team the Mayville Cardinals, and also the New Lisbon Rockets. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in New Lisbon, the New Lisbon Lions Club, a former member of St. Hubert's Catholic Church where he served on church council. He also played Dart Ball, and loved to watch the stock market on a daily basis.Del is survived by, his wife Linda of New Lisbon, 2 sons, Paul Gindt of Mauston, WI, and Tony Gindt of Stevens Point, WI, a nephew Ben (Jody) Gindt of North Fond du Lac, WI, and 2 nieces, Katie Gindt of Fond du Lac, WI, and Amanda (Michael) Bach of Fond du Lac, WI. And by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church (408W River St.) in New Lisbon, WI with Fr. Robert Letona presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00a.m until the 11:00a.m. time of funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date.
