David R. Salazar, 55, loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at his home surroundedby his loving family and friends.He was born on Feb. 29, 1960, in Las Vegas to Ruben and Donicia Salazar. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his animals.David is survived by his sons: John David Salazar and girlfriend, Miranda Vigil, Gabriel Salazar and girlfriend, Kristen Encinias; daughter, Felicia Romo, and boyfriend, Gene Esquibel; brothers: Ruben Salazar and spouse, Ida Sena, Casey Jaramillo and wife, Florinda, Jim Catalinich and wife, Libby; sister: Linda Purdy and husband, Bob; and brother-in-law: Richard Peralta, all of Las Vegas; grandchildren: Felix, Logan, Shyanne, Alleyah, and Baby Salazar; aunts: Cecilia Montaño and Cecilia Jaramillo from Las Vegas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister: Angela Salazar.Rosary services will take place at 7 p.m. today (Sunday) at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the Nuestra Señora del Refugio Cemetery in Los Vigiles. Serving as casket bearers will be Ruben Salazar, Abran Salazar, Casey Jaramillo Jr., Polito Jaramillo, Tony Montoya, and Wayne Peralta.
