David Lawson was born May 5, 1959, to the proud parents G. Moss and Mary Lawson in Buffalo, New York, where he grew up. David attended Kensington High School and shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Navy, where he served his country for 4 years. After serving, David became a father to three beautiful daughters, Candice Minyon, Courtney Danielle and Morgen Breonna. He also became married to Schrell M. Salter for nearly 10 years. During this time, David also worked for the United States Postal Service, where he obtained an injury leading to his disability.
Determined to seek more fulfillment in life, David relocated to Moreno Valley, California to be with, what would become the last love of his life, Dr. Catherine Scott. The two united in 2005 and were inseparable until the time of his death April 30th, 2018. Although many of David’s final days were filled with aches and pain, he still loved to spend his time barbequing his favorite chicken recipe and watching his favorite sports teams especially the Buffalo Bills.
David’s father G. Moss, grandmother Centila Lawson and uncle Cy Lawson preceded him in death; leaving behind his soul mate Catherine Denise, his Mother Mary Lawson, daughters Candice Minyon, Courtney Danielle and Morgen Breonna, older brother Jeffery, twin sister Deanna, nephew (aka son) Phillip David, niece Mia Kendra,(adopted daughters) Aspen Amour, Jessica Michelle, and Every Shobian, (adopted son) Brian Philip, grandchildren Rael-Lennai, Gianna Giselle, Cynthia Evelyn, Brison David and with the most honorable mention, His unborn grandchild to Mark Emerson and Morgen Breonna and also aunts Geneva Truesdale and Susie White, and a host of beloved Cousins, Godchildren, and friends.
