David John Dingman1943-2016David John Dingman went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Sugar Land, TX. He was born on November 27, 1943 in Sterling, IL to Lyle and Ellen Dingman.David was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Minard and Ellen Marie Dingman.He is survived by wife of 47 years, Ruth Morris Dingman; son, Brian Dingman and wife, Michelle; daughter, Lisa Marsh and husband, Terry; grandchildren, George John Marsh and Melissa Marsh; and sister, Martha Talmage and husband, Jerry.David was a kind, loving and generous man to all. After graduating from the University of Colorado, BS Civil Engineer, and University of Houston, MBA, he began a well-respected career as a civil engineer designing everything from roads to pipelines. Upon retiring he found pleasure volunteering at the EFBHNM and helping with projects at Southminister Presbyterian Church, but his greatest joy was being "Papa'" to his grandchildren.The memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 4200 Cartwright Rd, Missouri City, TX 77459.In Lieu of flowers, donation may be made in David's memory to the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry (EFBHNM), 435 Stafford Run Rd, Stafford, TX 77477 or www.humanneeds.org
