David P. Christiansen1950 - 2014 David P. Christiansen, 63, peacefully passed away June 8, 2014 at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. He was born on July 16, 1950, to Albert T. Christiansen, Jr., and Mary Jane (Reindl) Christiansen in Kenosha, Wis. He attended Kenosha Schools and graduated from Tremper High School in 1968. He went to GTI for one year to study aviation before transferring to UW-Stout. During summer breaks he worked at Lakeway Grocery, Milch Electric, and Christiansen Heating & Sheet Metal. In 1973 he graduated from UW-Stout with a B.S. in Industrial Arts Education. While attending UW-Stout he met his future wife. David married Karen M. Breunig on August 17, 1974 at St. Aloysius Church in Sauk City, Wis. They made their home in Kenosha. David worked at Ladish Tri-Clover and Andis Company before becoming self-employed as owner/operator of About Face Electrology. Due to serious health issues he retired, and bravely continued to cope with health issues until his passing.Davids various interests included aviation, cars, motorcycles, golf, boats, and ALL types of fishing; any season! In later years he enjoyed going for rides and controlling the T.V. to watch basketball, baseball, and football games. Survivors include his wife, Karen; his mother, Mary Jane; his brothers, Russell (Deborah), Gary, and Kurt (Amy) Christiansen all of Kenosha; and his in-laws, Elaine Breunig, Russell (Kathie) Breunig, Barbara Breunig, and R. Phillips, all of Sauk City, Wis. Further survivors include aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends on both sides of the family. Worthy of mention are his feline pets, Sugar and Bonkers, who kept him involved and entertained. A private Christian Burial service was conducted on June 12, 2014. Sincerest gratitude is extended to all of the conscientious and heart-warming caregivers and the many health care and social service professionals who enriched Davids life.
