David Anthony Vigil passed away on October 24, 2012 at University of New Mexico Children's Hospital following a sudden illness. David was born on Oct. 24, 2007, to Alias Vigil and Patricia Roybal of San Miguel. David was an avid Star Wars and Power Rangers fan and enjoyed fishing, swimming, and spending quality time with his sisters and cousins. David is recently preceded in death by his great-grandfather: Crisostomo T. Vigil, his great-grandfather: John B. Roybal, and his great-uncle: H. Felix Vigil.David is survived by his parents; sisters Cassandra Vigil of Albuquerque, Marianna Garcia of Clovis, and Alisa Vigil of the family home; great-grandparents: Helen Roybal of Albuquerque, Adelaida Vigil of Villanueva, and Ruth Aguilar of Flagstaff, Ariz.; grandparents: Troy and Marcella Aguilar of San Miguel, John and Susie Roybal of Las Vegas, and Steve and Rosann Vigil of Denver, Colo. David is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Christopher and Casey Aguilar of San Miguel, John and Sarah Aguilar of San Miguel; Danny Archuleta of Queen Creek, Ariz., Roseann and Jesus Hathaway of Las Vegas, Angelina Roybal and James Philips of Las Vegas, Rachel Vigil of Denver, Colo. and Vanessa Vigil and Will Smith of Denver, Colo. David is survived by numerous cousins and friends. Rosary devotional services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Father George Salazar as celebrant.Immediately after, lunch will be served at San Miguel del Vado Parish Hall in San Miguel. Cremation has taken place, and interment will follow at a later date at the Family of David and Berna Rivera Cemetery in San Miguel. Serving as pallbearers are David's cousins: John S. Aguilar, Luke Aguilar, Jose Hathaway, Clay Smith and Izabella Smith.
