Dave ErwinAGE: 97 • MillvilleDave A. Erwin of Millville, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017. He was a resident at the Maurice House Assisted Living for the past 7 years.Dave was born on May 29, 1919 in Willisville, Arkansas to the late Alta and William Erwin. After graduating high school, Dave enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 23 years. He was in the European Theatre in WWII and was a flight mechanic on the B17's. After the war, he became a flight and maintenance mechanic and retired as a Tech Sergeant in 1965. He then moved to Millville and was employed at Armstrong Cork, and Kerr Glass, as a coating specialist. He retired in 1980.Dave enjoyed reading and growing his own vegetables.Dave is survived by his son, Timothy M. Erwin and his wife Kim; great grandson Matthew David DiAmore and his father David DiAmore, all of MillvilleHe was predeceased by his wife, Dodie in 1992 and his granddaughter, Leslie Erwin DiAmore in November, 2016.The family would like to thank the Staff at the Maurice House for the love and care they provided during his stay there.There will be no services in accordance with Dave's wishes.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.barrfuneralhome.net
