Darlene KelloggMitchellvilleDarlene Kellogg, 82, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel, with a Rosary beginning at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Friday, October 27 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax, Iowa. A luncheon at the church will follow. Private interment will be at a later date.Darlene was born on May 28, 1935 in Westphalia, Iowa the daughter of William and Stella Graeve. She graduated from East High School in 1953 and on November 13, 1954 she was united in marriage to Phillip Kellogg. They made their home in Des Moines and were married for 53 years. Darlene retired from US West in 1990 with 20 years of service. Darlene is survived by her children: David (Mona) Kellogg, Kathy Hutt (Brian Broughton), Karol (Kenneth Jr.) Hargis, Karen (Rick) Clark and Karla (Miles) Smith; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Kellogg; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Graeve, Mary Ross, Junie (Larry) Gookin, Don (Mae) Graeve and Karen (Rusty) Moore; and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Daniel Kellogg and brother, Ivo Graeve.Memorial contributions may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
