PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL - Daniel Joseph Moriarity, 68, formerly of Racine passed away on Friday, October 17th at West Palm Beach Veterans Hospice Center in Florida. He was born on November 9th 1945 and was the son of the late Joseph and Lorraine (Krogh) Moriarity. He graduate from St. Catherine's in 1963. Quick with a joke, Daniel made people smile wherever he went. He was a very kind and generous man who was proud to be a member of the ASPCA. He loved to play his guitar. Daniel honorably served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967 proudly earning an Army Commendation Medal, a Purple Heart, and a Bronze Star for Valor. He was employed at Abbott Laboratories then RJM Marketing before becoming a freelance writer. One of his accomplishments was the 'Keep America Beautiful,' Indian with a tear commercial. Daniel loved his family and had the opportunity to enjoy a once in a lifetime vacation with his three children in Tobago. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas and his nephew Davey. Daniel will be remembered and dearly missed by his daughter and best friend Amy "Ugly Frog" Moriarity, daughter Megan "McGee" (Brian) Saiia, her two sons Owen and Jack, and his daughters mother Ann, his son Gabriel "Gabey Baby" (Ansley) Moriarity, his daughter Ava and Gabe's mother Iva. Brother Richard (Katrina) Moriarity, Sister Patricia (Richard) Donovan , Aunt Margaret Krogh, Cousins Jeff Krogh, Cindy (Ralph) Christensen and Terry Krogh. Nieces and nephews Greg Moriarity, Patrick (Tammy) Donovan, Ryan Donovan, Danny (Chrissy) Moriarity, Kathryn (Jon) Delegrave, Braiden Moriarity and Rachel Moriarity, and his special friends Tim, Dan, and Bill. There will be a full Military honors service at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI) on Thursday November 13that 3 PM. The Rev. Manda Stack will be officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the West Palm Beach Veterans Hospital and The Northwood Funeral Home and Crematory in West Palm Beach, FL.
