Daniel J. KiserFREMONT: Daniel J. Kiser, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 9, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 24, 1957 to Theodore and Judith (Pearson) Kiser in Fremont.He served eighteen years in the Navy, being stationed on several ships throughout his career including the USS Eisenhower's initial crew, the USS Roosevelt, and mainly the USS Saratoga. Anyone who knew Dan knew he was a selfless and fun person to be around, who would do anything for family and friends. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandpa, future husband, uncle, and friend. His favorite pastime was woodworking, crossword puzzles, hog roasts, and celebrating with family and friends. His children meant the world to him. Dan was an amazing person and put smiles on everyone's faces. Many people knew he could build anything and it was always amazing. He touched many lives and will be truly missed. Dan is survived by his, father, Theodore (Ursula) Kiser of FL; fiancé, Terrie Barger of Fremont; children, Aimee (Charles) Martin and Josh (Tara) Kiser both of Fremont; step-daughter, Alysha Barger; grandchildren, Chuck, Brittany, William, Gage, Blaze Martin, Donovan Meyers, Gwendilyn, Annabelle Kiser; step-granddaughter, Jewelyannah Barger; siblings, Cyndy (Joe) Knight, Amy (Doug) Goin, Bill (Patty) Kiser, and Claudia Sabo; and former wife, Ivy Fisher.He is preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont, where services will start at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
