Daniel A. StarnesMOSSVILLE - Daniel Alan Starnes, 68, of Mossville passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at his home.Dan was born on May 15, 1948, in Peoria, the son of Arthur and Gladys I. (Berchtold) Starnes Jr. Surviving are his brothers, Donald (Pam) Starnes of Chillicothe, Michael Starnes of Hopewell and Randy (Pam) Starnes of Chillicothe.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Duane; and one infant brother.He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.Dan worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville for more than 30 years, retiring from the Met Lab. Dan like to garden and work in the yard around the house and work on cars, where he was known to save all the parts just in case someone needed a part later.A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Streitmatter Cemetery.
