ALLISON, Dennis Raymond 72, of Springfield, passed away at 7:22 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on October 31, 1944 in Bellefontaine, Ohio. On June 20, 1965, Dennis married the former Ann M. Adkins in Logansville, Ohio, and she survives; along with their children, Jason (Kim) Allison, Hope (Dwight) Whipp; four grandchildren, Samuel Allison, Hannah Whipp, Kacey Widmeyer and Leighanne Marcum; and a great grandson, Lincoln Widmeyer. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Robert Hobson and Esther May (Allison) Black; and infant daughter, Dawn Marie; infant siblings, Lynn & Donald; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Mable Allison. A retail purchaser for 40 years, Dennis was a Past Master of Anthony Lodge #455 F&AM and President of the Springfield Shrine Club. Dennis attended the First Christian Church in Springfield. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and watching his grandchildren's sporting events. Dennis also spent time donating blood to the community blood bank and collecting donations for Shriner's Burn Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10th by the Anthony Lodge #455 F&AM of Springfield; immediately following Pastor Brian Borton will officiate a memorial service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the , 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
