D. Robert "Bob" Ober, Jr.White Hall, Md.D. Robert "Bob" Ober, Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He was the loving husband of Judy (Walker) Ober and they celebrated 44 years of marriage on June 10, 2016. There will be a visitation honoring Bob's life on Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 4 – 6 p.m.at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. There will be no formal service at this time and interment will be private.Bob was born on February 11, 1951, in Havre de Grace, Md., a son of Beulah (Poe) Ober of White Hall, Md., and the late Duncan R. Ober, Sr. Bob was a "Jack of all trades" and he loved to tinker. He enjoyed cutting the grass, building and driving race cars, and watching old TV shows.Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Shelly Plasse, and her husband, Keith of Lutherville, Md., Amanda Ober and her fiancé, Josh Fishpaw of Stewartstown, and Michael Ober and his fiancée, Casey Skinner of White Hall, Md.; four grandchildren, Jake, Kole, Spencer, and Stella; three siblings, Scott Ober and his wife, Sue of Felton, Carolyn Hulshart and her husband, Ed of Stewartstown, and Melinda Funk and her husband, Tim of White Hall, Md; and dear friends, Jack Burk of Delta, and Lee Walker of Centreville, Md.
