Corrine Bowen WinnA memorial service celebrating the life of Corrinne Bowen Winn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Colfax United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Hendrix as well as Corrinne's grandson, Thomas Bowen officiating. Lunch will be shared with friends and family in the fellowship hall immediately after the service. Ms. Winn, age 87 of Alexandria, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at The Oaks Care Center in Pineville. She was born on February 16, 1929, to the late Louis Michael Goins and the late Florence Pribble Goins. Corrinne is survived by her children, Randy Bowen (Connie) of Lafayette, Suzanne LaCour (Joe) of Natchitoches, and Dr. Mark Bowen (Debbie) of Jena; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Corrinne loved people. She said that good friends were like stars….you don't always see them, but you know they are always there. She loved to cook and entertain. Music was the center of attention and a way of life for her and especially listening to that grand ole piano. She had a loving spirit, great sense of humor, compassionate heart and loved unconditional. She was a woman of great faith and a long-time member of Colfax United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Oaks Care Center for their kind and compassionate care this past year.
