Constance Betty Billingsley January 26, 1923 - July 18, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother. Constance "Betty" Billingsley died on July 18th, 2017, at Peace Arch Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on January 26th, 1923 in Muswell Hill, London, England, to Charles and Lily Wethersett, a baby sister to Philip. Betty resided in London until 1944, when WWII brought a courageous young Canadian navigator into her life. She married Harry George Billingsley III, the love of her life, on June 14, 1944 and soon after boarded a ship to Canada to join Harry and begin a new life together. They settled in Vancouver, where her mother, father and grandmother joined them as they started their family.Betty is survived by her two loving sons John and Jim (Patti), her three grandchildren Jamie(Kelly), Lindsay, Julia(Reid), and her five great grandchildren Abigail, Duncan, Cassidy, Riley and Caleb, all of whom she adored.During this difficult time we find comfort in the knowledge that after many years of heartfelt longing, Betty will finally be reunited with her loves, Harry, Charles and Lily. She will be remembered with fondest love, always.A celebration of life will be held at St. Mark's Church on Wednesday September 20th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider making a donation to the BC Cancer Agency.
