Visitation is all day Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at the funeral home with family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Word of Life Church. Burial will be in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.Connie was born on July 31, 1948 in Abilene, Texas, to Billie and E.C. Carter. She was employed as a nurse's aide and caregiver. Most recently, she was a volunteer at Community Medical Center. She was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donny Gann.Connie is survived by her siblings, Richard Carter, Randy and Elizabeth Gann, Mike Gann, Stacey and Corky Smith, Kari and John Tue, Jennifer Youngquist and Jacquetta Wheldon; special friends Jeannie Holbert, Connie and King Walker and Grandmaw Darlene; 25 nieces and nephews; 35 great-nieces and nephews; 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
